Ping Wang, MD, Ph.D

Dr. Ping Wang has an in-depth experience in biomedical research and clinical work. In addition, she has about 20 years of experience in operating rodent in-vivo surgeries. She received her Ph.D from the Graduate School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University, Japan.
Tomohiro Yokota, Ph.D
Assistant Project Scientist
 
Dr. Yokota is an assistant project scientist in Deb Lab and received his PhD (Physiology) at Waseda University, Japan. His research interest is heart development/congenital heart diseases.   

 

 

Postdoc

Shen Li, Ph.D
Postdoctoral Fellow
 
Shen is a postdoctoral fellow in the Deb lab investigating cardiac calcification and the role of progenitor like cells in mediating cardiac calcification. He has a Ph.D from the University of Yamanashi, Japan. His expertise is in atherosclerosis and plaque stability.  

 

 

Rimao Wu, Ph.D
Postdoctoral Fellow
 
Rimao is a postdoctoral fellow in the Deb lab and she received her Ph.D from the Peking Union Medical College in Beijing. Her focus was on transcriptional regulation of skeletal muscle stem cells. 

 

 

Yijie Wang, Ph.D
Postdoctoral Fellow
 
Yijie is a postdoctoral fellow in the Deb lab and she received her Ph.D from the Institute of Health Science, SIBS, CAS in Shanghai. Her previous research focus was on the role of calcium signaling in the differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cell. 

 

 

Juan Qin, Ph.D
Postdoctoral Fellow
 
Juan is a postdoctoral fellow in Deb lab investigating molecular mechanisms driving cardiac repair after injury. She received her Ph.D from Nankai University, China. Her focus was on the role of cytoskeleton in the differentiation of human ES cells to cardiomyocytes.

 

 

Mengmeng Zhai
Postdoctoral fellow
 
Mengmeng is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr.Deb’s lab and she received her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Her previous study focused on bone tissue regeneration, photothermal cancer therapy and gene delivery.

Maxine is a research associate in the Deb Lab and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular & Cell Biology. She has previous research experience in brain plasticity, neurodegenerative diseases, and clinical drug trials.
